SOMATIC SYSTEMIC THERAPY
BRINGING IFS TO YOUR LIFE
AND THE LIFE YOU SHARE
For Individuals | Couple / Intimate Partner(s) | Families
Sometimes it can feel like a full time job being a person.
Somatic systemic therapy recognises and explores the myth of individualism, through widening our felt sense of belonging within an ecosystemic lens. Existing as multiplicitous beings across many contexts - within ourselves, partnerships, families, communities, with colleagues and peers - we acquire and hold many different roles and responsibilities. Our relationships with ourselves and with others within these spheres are organised by the values we have adopoted and adapted from near and distant cultural, spiritual, secular influences - governing our neurology, biochemistry, physiology and the beliefs and choices we hold and take. And all of this is impacted by institutional, socioeconomic, geopolitical structures and changing legislation in a dynamic world.
Somatic systemic therapy supports exploration of relationships and relating through re-connection from the inside out, allowing new ways and channels of relating to emerge. When collective compassionate space is held for those parts that labour within the roles and masks they have acquired in service of survival, connection and duty, we can understand more about what has been happening, to what degree is is helpful and choiceful and how to support intentional change for all those within a system.
Maintaining a somatic focus on the quality of inner and outer attachments, contact and communication; the relational patterns within and between people over time, we can support a deeper connection with your embodied experience and awareness to support lasting change in those relationships that are important to you. For more information and to explore how individual, couple - including queer, trans, poly, sex positive, GSRD practice, and/or family somatic systemic therapy can support you and those within your life, please get in touch.
Everyone is welcome and respected in dignity and mutual care, within an intentionally co-created and collaboratively accountable, affirmative space. Intersectionally inclusive access needs are invited across multi-faith | spiritual | secular, ability, racialised experience, class, heritage, sexuality, gender diverse, neuro-expansive identities.
